Chicago, IL (September 2, 2024) – A high-speed crash in Chicago’s Marquette Park neighborhood left three people injured on Monday night.
The accident occurred around 9 p.m. on the 2400 block of West Columbus Avenue when a speeding car lost control while crossing train tracks and collided with several parked vehicles.
The driver, a 40-year-old man, was hospitalized with head injuries, while one of his passengers, a 16-year-old girl, remains in critical condition. A second passenger, a young girl, suffered a broken pelvis.
Police have stated that the driver will be issued citations.
