A recent report by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has found that logging is the most dangerous job in America. While logging is not one of the main industries in Illinois, many industries that employ hundreds of thousands of people throughout our state share space on the list of America’s most dangerous jobs.

Workers who are injured on the job, no matter what industry they work in, are entitled to compensation. The Chicago workers’ compensation attorneys at Harvey L. Walner & Associates are here to help with your claim, to see that you get the total compensation you are due.

Dangerous Jobs

According to the BLS, the most dangerous jobs in Illinois include:

  • Roofing
  • Structural iron and steel work
  • Refuse and recyclable material collection
  • Electrical and power line installation and repair
  • Commercial driving
  • Farm and ranch work
  • Construction labor

Many people employed in these trades are covered by workers’ compensation. Others, sadly, are not. When you are not covered by workers’ compensation but sustain an on-the-job injury, you may still be entitled to seek compensation through legal action.

Our Chicago personal injury attorneys will review your case free of charge to help you determine if workers’ compensation or legal action will best serve your needs.

If you have been injured on the job in or around Chicago, Illinois, please contact Harvey L. Walner & Associates to schedule your free consultation with one of our experienced workers’ compensation attorneys.
