Man Dies In NW Chicago Motorcycle Accident

A man riding his motorcycle Tuesday night was sideswiped by an SUV in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood on the city’s Northwest side. The gentleman riding the motorcycle was riding an ’05 Harley Davidson eastbound on the 6200 block of West Diversey Ave. when the SUV struck him as it pulled our of a nearby parking lot, said police News Affair Officer Amina Greer. The 42 year old rider, Stanislaw Galek, was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at 9:09 p.m. at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood. The driver, Maria Mora, was cited for driving without a driver’s license and failing to stop or yield, Greer said.
