The vast majority of Social Security disability claims are initially denied. Fortunately, this is not the end of the conversation.

A Social Security disability denial can be appealed. If your claim has been denied in the Chicago area, you should speak with our Social Security disability lawyer as soon as possible about filing an appeal.

The denial stage is often where lawyers get involved on behalf of the claimant, though it’s certainly a good idea to have one on your side from the beginning of the process. Filing an SSDI appeal is not an easy or simple task, and you absolutely want to experience legal advice when putting together your appeal.

Most appeals are themselves not successful. However, you have a total of four appeals, counting the initial one. Your last appeal would come before a federal district court.

It’s important not to panic after a claim denial. This is how the system works. Our Social Security disability lawyers understand how to navigate the system and get you a just outcome.

If you live in the Chicago, Illinois area and need an experienced Social Security disability lawyer, please call Harvey L. Walner & Associates, Ltd. at (312) 313-2888 for a free consultation.
