Garfield Ridge, Chicago: 4 Injured in Car Crash in Chicago’s Southwest Side

Chicago, IL (September 29, 2024) – In the early hours of Sunday morning, a serious two-car collision in Chicago’s Garfield Ridge neighborhood left four people injured.

The crash occurred around 1:43 a.m. in the 6800 block of West Archer Avenue. According to police reports, a white SUV traveling eastbound collided with a beige SUV going westbound.

Emergency responders arrived swiftly, transporting the driver of the white SUV to Loyola University Medical Center. Two passengers in the same vehicle were taken to Christ Hospital. The driver of the beige SUV was also taken to Loyola for observation. All individuals are reported to be in fair condition.

Police have not issued any citations yet, and the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
